This utility is an additional tool to the main LastPass app. It protects your account by applying two factor authentication codes upon login. An extra step improves security. If the password has been broken, the attacker can not access the profile without the special key.
LastPass Authenticator is also compatible with other services that support two factor authentication, for example, with Google or based on TOTP. Once the account is added, the application either continuously generates codes when it opens, or displays confirmation requests to log on.
The app generates a six digit code every 30 seconds. When you get the numbers, you need to enter the data in a short time, because after that they will not be valid. Push notifications allow you to access the resource with one click. There is also support for SMS codes. You have a chance to choose a way convenient for you.
