LINE Pay is an Android application for making contactless payments. Suitable for both online and offline purchases, this service only requires your mobile device to complete a transaction.
Quick and convenient
This modern multiplatform service allows users to pay in offline stores and restaurants enrolled with the system. To make a purchase, you do not need to have cash or bank cards with you. It is enough to show the merchant employee a special barcode on the screen of your smartphone or tablet. Alternatively, you can scan a QR code on the slip, and the payment will be done automatically by the app.
LINE Pay was developed in Japan but available worldwide. However, the number of supported merchants varies greatly depending on the country. For example, the service is very popular in Thailand, Taiwan and Indonesia but less so in Eastern Europe.
Conveniently, there is a map showing nearby places where you can use the utility. You may also browse the list to quickly check if your favorite supermarket accepts this way of paying. As with the Venmo app, the tech also allows users to make small money transfers and split bills between friends.
