MapFactor is a navigation application for Android that provides full offline map support from OpenStreetMap data. There is turn-by-turn guidance, routing options and live recalculations.
Customization
Users can download maps for hundreds of countries and open them entirely offline, eliminating the need for mobile data during navigation. The app supports various profiles whether it is car, truck or pedestrian, enabling route planning adapted to vehicle or walking mode. It is possible to add multiple waypoints and reorder them based on travel plans. Compared to Waze, there are also avoidance options to exclude toll roads, highways or specific spots.
Keeping informed
During route execution, the map displays clear turn instructions, distance remaining and estimated arrival time. Speed limit signs appear and alerts are given when approaching speed cameras. If a deviation from the planned route occurs, the tool recalculates quickly to redirect you.
It is possible to switch view mode between 2D and 3D. Day and night color schemes help you better see objects in crowded cities. The UI is configurable, panels, icons and map overlays can be toggled or customized for your own convenience.
