NatWest Rooster is a pocket money management application for Android designed to help parents teach children healthy financial habits.
Tracker
Users can set up automatic allowances and one-off payments to their child without moving real money initially. Kids are able to view virtual balances in selected pots and track how their funds are distributed. It is possible to link and assign chores to rewards, so little ones work for pocket money in a transparent way. A running activity graph or statement view surfaces past transactions, just like in Monarch.
You, as a parent, have an option to create custom goal pots to allocate money toward specific targets like toys or experiences. A portion of regular allowance can be auto-split into pots based on settings. Progress bars or visual indicators make tracking achievements intuitive for children.
Controls
There are real-time notifications of spending activity and transaction details. Limits, merchant restrictions and card usage toggles allow fine control over child transactions. As for prepaid services, you can link your Visa for shopping, ATM and other purposes.
