Numista is an Android application from the eponymous web resource intended for numismatists. This platform offers useful information including images, specifications, and historical details of coins as well as banknotes from around the world.
Accounts and catalog
The application can be used without registration, similar to Palette fm. At the same time, if you want to interact with the community and manage your collection, you have to create an account. This platform contains an extensive catalog of world coins and banknotes, including all countries and all periods. It is possible to identify items using the advanced search option and filters.
Please note that this catalog is created by volunteers and a large community of numismatists. The application database is divided into three sections:
- coins;
- banknotes;
- exonumia.
It is possible to sort items by country, year of manufacture, diameter, technique, shape, signature, image, series, and so on. For a more detailed search, you can attach photos.
Forum and swapping
The platform has a forum that brings together collectors. Here you can exchange useful data, identify and evaluate items, as well as get answers to your questions. Numismatists can attach photos of their coins or banknotes to their accounts and also share information about objects.
It is possible to determine the cost and track statistics. There is a separate tab for users who want to swap coins and banknotes.
