ScotRail is an application for Android devices, a mobile client of the railway company, well known in Scotland. This service allows users to select and book train tickets, similar to UTS.
Getting started
At the start, you need to register and create a personal account. This option is necessary to save digital tickets. On the main page, there is a special form to fill out and choose the appropriate route. It is necessary to indicate the departure and destination point in a special window.
Next, you have to clarify the date, number of passengers, as well as availability of passes or discounts. The application selects the optimal travel option, indicating the train number, departure and arrival time, platform, number of transfers, ticket prices, etc. It is possible to save frequently used routes for quick access.
Tickets and payments
You can immediately book and pay for tickets as well as save them in a separate tab. It is possible to cancel the trip with a refund. The utility allows you to save your bank card details for recurring payments.
There is a section with the train schedule for the selected stations. The arrival and departure times are indicated here, as well as the delay interval, if any. It is possible to buy round-trip tickets and season passes.
