Slacker Radio is an Android application designed for listening to various online radio stations. It is possible to create playlists as well as download songs and listen to them offline.
Basic opportunities
You can register, by providing an email address and creating a password. However, you can take advantage of this app as a guest. The main page of the utility presents the most popular radio stations and songs. The Specials section offers a selection of podcasts, interviews, and exclusive weekly programs.
It is possible to view a list of all presented radio stations and sort them by genres such as blues, rock, pop, RnB, alternative, hip-hop, indie, and so on. You can mark your favorite stations and programs using the star icon. The content you select will be moved to the My Music tab for faster access.
Recommendations and offline mode
The application offers you to choose about 20 favorite artists. This way, the utility will be able to select and recommend music according to your preferences. It is possible to listen to suggested playlists and create your own ones.
In addition, you can share your favorite content with friends via social networks and instant messengers. A distinctive feature of this app is the offline mode, which allows you to download playlists and listen to them anytime and anywhere, even without access to the Internet.
There is a built-in audio player with a set of basic functions such as rewind, pause, and stop playback. The utility supports broadcasting to Chromecast devices. Additionally, you can read information about groups and artists, view album covers, and so on.
