Spot the Station is an Android application created by NASA. It allows you to track the International Space Station location in real time.
Space Station tracking
This application is a NASA tool designed to let you know when the ISS can be seen from your location. It sends you alerts so you can step outside and watch the station as it travels across the sky.
The utility provides real-time tracking of the ISS with both 2D and 3D views. You can see where the station is at any moment and get an idea of its orbit around the Earth. This feature is useful for understanding the ISS path and planning your viewing accordingly.
Another important feature of Spot the Station is the upcoming sighting list. It gives you detailed information about when the ISS will be visible from your location, including times and how long it will be in sight.
Additional functions
Similar to Star Chart, the app includes an Augmented Reality view. This overlays the ISS’s position on the live image from your phone’s camera, complete with a compass and trajectory lines. In addition, the utility provides access to NASA’s latest ISS resources and blogs. There are also privacy settings to control what information you share.
