Squid is a versatile handwriting and annotation application for Android that allows users to take notes, mark up PDFs and organize content across folders.
Handheld implement
It is possible to write naturally with a stylus or finger, closely mimicking the experience of pen and paper. Users can create notes on lined, graph or blank pages. Moreover, the app supports pressure-sensitive input for compatible devices, allowing for realistic stroke variations.
Journal
There is an option to import PDF files and annotate them directly within the notebook. Similar to NoteLedge, highlights, handwritten notes, shapes and text boxes can be added here on top of the original content. This is especially useful for reviewing study materials, filling out forms or editing documents during meetings.
On top of everything else, the utility supports creating multiple journals for organizing the content by subject or project. Each notebook may contain unlimited pages, which you can rename, move or delete as needed. The thumbnail overview and bookmarks make navigation fast and intuitive. Besides, there are cloud backup and export options in popular formats.
