TrapCall is an application for Android devices that helps users determine who is calling from hidden, unknown, private, and restricted numbers. Thus, it is possible to identify telemarketers, robots, collectors, and scammers.
Notes
It is worth noting that this service is intended for residents of the United States. The platform can process calls from Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, Sprint, Cricket, US Cellular, and MetroPCS. Please note that Simple Mobile, Virgin Mobile, and Boost Mobile providers are not supported.
How to use
TrapCall’s principle of operation is as follows: if you receive a call from an unknown or private number, the application automatically rejects it, processes it within a few seconds, and then returns it to your phone in an unmasked form. This platform is capable of identifying names and addresses that are associated with a given number. You can receive information about this in SMS or push notifications.
The application contains a huge database with numbers of marketers, spammers, robots, collectors, and scammers which is constantly updated. You can not only determine who is calling you but also automatically block unwanted conversations by creating a personal blacklist.
In this case, TrapCall will play a recording from the telephone company stating that your number has been disconnected. This option will stop unwanted or annoying calls forever.
Please note that the application has advanced functions that are available after purchasing a subscription. Users have the opportunity to find out the personal information of contacts, including names, addresses, and photographs. It is possible to record incoming calls and use this data as evidence for a police report regarding phone fraud.
