ViaMichelin is a travel planning application for Android that supports multiple transport modes and helps users explore points of interest like restaurants, hotels and tourist sites.
Calculation
Users can plan routes for gasoline or electric vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles or on foot. The app factors in fuel or energy costs, tolls, and vehicle type to estimate trip expenses. Up to fifteen stops may be added in one itinerary to build multi-leg trips. Options such as avoiding toll roads or selecting low-cost paths are available as well.
POI and traffic
Maps are available in standard and historical styles, plus 3D view during navigation. There is MICHELIN Guide content which includes restaurants, hotels, cultural sites, everything shown directly on the route. Nearby services with gas stations, parking and EV charging are listed with details. In addition, you can filter POIs by category to display only what interests you.
Just like in Waze, live traffic overlays here provide slow zones, accidents, roadworks and closures on your map. While navigating, the dashboard displays speed limits and warns if you exceed them. Voice guidance provides turn prompts and updates during the journey.
