WhenToWork is an Android application that allows employees to view timetables, submit time off requests, trade shifts, and send messages from their devices. The utility is an official client of the eponymous website, which offers a variety of features for staff scheduling.
Schedules and shifts
With this app, users can quickly create varied and repeating schedules each week for one or more locations. It is possible to add shifts or import them from a template. Rosters can be viewed in a variety of configurable formats: graphical, calendar, list, and chart. Hourly, daily, weekly, multiple weeks and monthly options are available.
There is an option to sort data by employee, position, or time. It is possible to view all or part of the schedule, as well as track different jobs or locations both alone and combined. You may print rosters as PDFs or export them to text files.
Managers can manually assign employees or use AutoFill feature to create the best tasks with one click, preventing overtime. In turn, staff may log in and choose the shifts they want. It is possible to instantly see who would be the best choice for a replacement.
Furthermore, you can drag and drop shifts to move or copy them. All affected employees will be notified of the change by email. Workers can request time off, and if approved, the schedule is immediately updated.
Additional options
This app allows managers to track employee availability, preferences, skills, and certifications. There is contact information for all staff. It is possible to monitor attendance records in real-time and calculate payments. WhenToWork integrates with other business tools, such as payroll software and accounting systems.
