iTunes is a Mac OS application for interacting with Apple mobile devices. Additionally, there is a media player for listening to music and watching movies.
Store
Users can purchase and download content from the official Apple store. There is a large selection of audio tracks, movies, mobile applications and digital books. Please note that the integrated player only supports files acquired from the official source.
It is possible to rent movies for a limited time instead of buying them. This method is much cheaper. Most of the included video content is available in high resolution up to 4K.
The Music section lets you purchase full albums or individual tracks. Moreover, there is an option to subscribe to the paid Apple Music service and stream any songs anywhere.
Playback
Instruments for offline viewing of purchased content are included. To do so, users are instructed to download the book, movie or audio track to the hard drive. All materials are automatically sorted by category.
Similar to Rhapsody, custom playlists can be created. Purchased items are available across all Apple devices such as iPad, iPhone, Macbook, iMac and Mac Mini connected to the same user account.
