Word is a Mac OS utility that allows users to work with text documents. Supported formats include DOC, DOCX, ODT, PDF and many other popular file types. Please note that a paid Microsoft 365 subscription is required for installing this program.
Editing tools
After starting the software you can create a blank document or choose one of the provided templates. There are flexible page size parameters. Additionally, it is possible to change the background color.
Users are able to add numbered lists, colontitles, headers, spreadsheets and other elements to the project. There is a large collection of beautiful fonts. The integrated spell checking module is intended for quickly detecting and fixing grammar errors. Supported languages include English, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, etc.
Collaboration
Instruments for sharing the document with other people are available. You can review recent changes and attach personal notes. There is an option to display the list of previous text versions with all modifications.
Like in Nuance Power PDF Standard, finished documents can be saved to the hard drive in a variety of formats. Checkmarks for enabling backward compatibility with earlier Word versions are provided.
