8×8 is a Windows application oriented toward businesses. There are tools for communicating with customers over audio and video channels. You can forward incoming calls, record all interactions and automatically transcribe voicemails as well. Please note that 8×8 is a paid platform. There is no free trial version.
Getting started
It is necessary to register a business account on the official website to access the program. After logging in users are prompted to enter their name and upload an avatar.
Like in NetMeeting, the main menu contains buttons for adding new contacts to the list and editing existing records. You can adjust various webcam and microphone properties as well.
Call management
Instruments for recording all communications are included. Users are able to reroute incoming calls.
There is a counterpart mobile application for Android and iOS. It lets you make audio and video calls from various smartphones. All communications are encrypted to prevent unauthorized access by malicious actors.
Monitoring
It is possible to access the list of incoming and outgoing calls from the main dashboard. Administrators can supervise operators and evaluate their performance. The queue is sortable by agent name, date, direction, group, dialed number and other attributes.
