Adblock Plus is a Windows utility for preventing the loading of ads on web pages. There are plugin versions for Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, TouchNet Browser, Microsoft Edge and other popular web browsers.
Main functionality
The purpose of this program is preventing commercial ads on websites from loading. This is helpful for improving the browsing experience and saving network traffic.
All ads are blocked automatically when the plugin is active. You can click the icon on the main browser toolbar to view the amount of unwanted content removed from the currently opened page.
Please note that some websites detect Adblock and require disabling the extension before visiting. In that case users are able to deactivate the plugin and reload the page to access restricted content.
