AktivFilter is a Windows utility that helps you develop electronic device schematics. There are instruments for creating Bessel, Butterworth and Chebychev active filters. Supported opamps include AD8061, AD8032, AD648. AD8099 and many other common models.
How it works
The software is tuned on the operational amplifier and on the standard series of resistors and capacitors. This allows users to avoid a manual matching of the designed filter circuit.
There is support for many professional high quality opamps that are used in audio electronics like consumer products, studio equipment and high end hardware. You can specify an individual characteristic by setting the pole quality Q and normalized pole frequency for each stage of the custom active filter. It is possible to develop a special crossover network for loudspeakers as well.
Other programs for designing complex schematics such as DesignSpark Electrical are available for download.
Graph parameters
Users are able to place up to 4 amplitude markers onto the main chart. Moreover, there are tools for adjusting the default frequency range. Gain plots for the ideal filter and traditional design can be displayed together for comparison with the custom filter.
