Archi is a cross-platform program for Windows that gives enterprise architects the possibility to create ArchiMate models. It provides a convenient solution for users who are making their first steps in the aforementioned language. Since its introduction, the tool has been widely adopted in both commercial and educational sectors.
Installation
Please note that the Windows version of the utility comes equipped with a dedicated wizard. Thus, to perform the deployment, you need to launch the executable and follow the instructions. The installer will simply copy the necessary files to the target directory and associate proprietary formats with the software.
Launch and operation
After launching the application, you are greeted with a blank workspace. The layout consists of different sub-windows, which you can rearrange by dragging them into new positions, or by detaching them from the main window.
The Navigator section displays the selected model and all of its concepts via their relationships, and allows you to navigate them. On the other hand, the Visualizer component shows the project in a graphical way. Additionally, The Hints window offers you suggestions for the selected object.
