AutoWall is a lightweight Windows program designed to set animated wallpapers. There are GIFs, videos or HTML content, all optimized for desktop background.
Moving image
Once installed, users can browse dynamic pictures to personalize their PC screen. Unlike traditional tools, this app brings motion to the background without affecting foreground windows. It is possible to set any compatible media file to run continuously, enhancing the overall visual aspect.
Just like in RainWallpaper, there is a basic control panel to choose files, preview wallpapers and apply them instantly. You can switch between content types, whether a video background or a web animation, with just a few clicks. Moreover, it is possible to enable automatic loading of pictures during system boot. You do not need to reapply settings manually every time you log in.
Lightweight
Despite displaying dynamic wallpapers, the utility does not consume much of system resources nor slows down your computer. This is a portable and open source project hosted on GitHub. You are able to modify or improve the code as well as expect regular updates from the community.
