Barrier is an open source Windows software developed for managing multiple computers with a single mouse and keyboard.
Control
The program allows users to connect KVM and control several desktops eliminating the need for numerous sets of peripherals. It is possible to seamlessly switch between devices by simply moving the cursor across screens, just like in laptops with dual monitors. What makes Barrier convenient is its compatibility with various operating systems, not only by Microsoft, but also macOS and Linux.
Another powerful feature is clipboard sharing between machines to copy data. You can transfer images, videos, audios and documents without having USB flash drives or other storage disks. Moreover, it is not necessary to be connected to the network either. You may just drag and drop files to create these copies on multiple computers.
Hotkeys
There is an option to create and apply customizable hotkeys to quickly switch between PCs. Thus, you are able to navigate through your devices without dragging the mouse. On top of that, similar to GoToMyPC, the program comes with SSL encryption that secures your connections and ensures the safety of file transfers.
