Cloud storage
The application allows you to view files located on the remote server from an intuitive search box which may be opened by clicking on the system tray icon. You can also view content in a dedicated Box folder. This means it is possible to view, edit, and manage your items without the need to download them first.
It is necessary to mention that the tool ensures that any changes made to files on the local drive are synced with the cloud in real time. Thanks to this feature, you are able to have the most up-to-date versions of your data, regardless of whether it was edited locally or accessed via web interface.
Offline access and sharing
Another standout aspect of this software is the ability to mark specific files or folders for offline access. This enables you to work with content even if you are not connected to the Internet. Please note that any changes made while offline will automatically sync once a network connection is established.
The desktop program maintains some of the collaboration features of the Box platform. You can easily share items with other users and cooperate in real time. Similar to Syncthing, setting access permissions, embedding widgets, and other tasks are performed via web UI.
