Chordify is a program for Windows that offers an innovative approach to learning and playing music. Aimed at users of all skill levels, from amateurs to professionals, the platform automatically generates chord charts for any song.
Discover music
The first step is to select your instrument, namely guitar, ukulele, piano, or mandolin. Then, you need to select the chords you know how to play. This is done through a convenient visualization of the fretboard on your screen as well as via musical notation symbols.
When you are finished specifying the chords, you can start the search and discover new music based on your current skill level. The application presents a long list of songs with the possibility to save them to your setlist with a single press of a button.
Play and learn
Once you have chosen the track you want to learn, you can click on it and move to the next screen. Here you are able to see the chords in a diagram and switch between all available instruments. You also have the option to watch the YouTube clip if the song has it.
There are also controls for playing back the track, such as adjusting the volume, loooping, transposing the key, etc. It is worth noting that you can download the chords as MIDI files or print them in PDF format. To compose musical arrangements automatically, you may try software called Ludwig.
