Cisco Configuration Professional Express is a Windows utility for setting up a wide range of professional network equipment from Cisco. Users can configure routing protocols and adjust security parameters.
Router settings
After starting the program you are prompted to set up the WAN network interface. It is necessary to select the correct connection type from the drop down menu. There are checkboxes for enabling automatic IP assignment and PPPoE.
Please note that Cisco Configuration Professional Express is discontinued and no longer supported by the developer. The installation files are not available.
Network management
Similar to Cisco DNA Center, users can view real time traffic statistics and detailed activity logs. Moreover, tools for performing diagnostic tests to troubleshoot potential connectivity issues are included.
You are able to adjust various firewall and VPN attributes. This functionality is helpful for filtering and rerouting incoming connections to maintain privacy. Additionally, there are instruments for automatic IP address translation via NAT. An option to prioritize certain types of traffic over others is provided as well.
