Cobra HomeBase is a Windows application intended for updating Cobra navigation hardware. There are instruments for uploading new maps and points of interest to the device. It is worth mentioning that Cobra HomeBase requires the latest version of Java Runtime Environment for the correct functioning of all features.
Connection
After starting the program you are prompted to attach the GPS device to the computer via USB cable. It may be necessary to turn the navigator off beforehand to avoid connection errors. Please note that this software is not compatible with Cobra 7700 PRO and GPSM 7700 models.
Update process
Users can upload fresh maps and custom points of interest to the device memory. This functionality is helpful for keeping up to date with constantly changing urban environments.
Instruments for backing up personal data like contact list and mileage records to the hard drive are included. It is possible to restore previously saved information in case of file corruption or hardware failure.
