Cubase Pro is a program for Windows that provides a well-known professional digital audio workstation. Developed by Steinberg for music production, recording, editing and mixing.
Compose
Users are able to record multiple tracks of audio and MIDI simultaneously, with sample-accurate precision. Tracks can be edited with a comprehensive set of tools. There is comping, time-stretching, pitch shifting and automation curves. The project timeline supports an unlimited number of instrument tracks, making it suitable for large-scale sessions.
Console and plugins
There is a full-featured mixing console with channel strips, VCA faders and advanced routing options. You can insert effects on individual tracks or groups, adjust EQ curves visually and apply automation to any mix parameter. Integrated metering and loudness tools help you make sure tracks meet broadcast or streaming standards, including SoundCloud.
The app comes bundled with more than eighty effects and instruments. There is HALion Sonic SE, Groove Agent SE and Retrologue. Full VST3 support ensures compatibility with third-party plugins, and you can organize them in custom collections. On top of that, there is a score editor that allows you to view, modify and print standard musical notation.
