DIOS MIOS is a Windows utility for installing a customized firmware on Nintendo Wii. There are instruments for enabling backward compatibility with a wide variety of popular games from an obsolete Gamecube console.
Setup
Users are instructed to ensure that the specific Wii has support for GameCube features. Devices sold after late 2011 do not have necessary controller and memory card ports to run this firmware.
The first step is to place the contents of the downloaded archive to an SD card and insert it into the console. You can perform final installation via WAD manager.
After finishing the setup users are able to load content from ISO images or from original retail discs.
Compatible games
With the help of this software you can start and play the following titles:
- Bloodrayne;
- Bomberman Generation;
- Crazy Taxi;
- Dragon Ball Z;
- FIFA 07;
- and many other popular games.
It is possible to enable cheats in some titles. Users can take screenshots with the R+Z button combination.
Please note that DIOS MIOS cannot emulate Wii U games. There are other apps like CEMU for this purpose.
Configuration
Flexible control scheme settings are provided. You are able to remap individual buttons and save several personal profiles.
