Electrum is a Windows application that is intended for working with the Bitcoin blockchain network. There are instruments for managing multiple digital wallets. The program is open source and written in Python.
Account creation
The first step is to specify the name of the wallet and a unique seed phrase. After that users can configure security options such as two factor authentication for additional protection. Like in Infinity Wallet, it is possible to import previously created wallets or create a new one.
Payments
You can send cryptocurrency funds in the corresponding tab. There are input fields for the target wallet address, description and amount. Buttons for saving the settings or immediately sending the money are available.
The Receive section allows users to request payments from other people. It is recommended to generate a new Bitcon address for every transaction to improve anonymity and prevent tracking.
There is support for the Lightning network. This technology lets you quickly send Bitcoin funds without waiting for confirmation on the blockchain. Instruments for creating new Lightning channels or using existing routes are provided.
