Ente Auth is a lightweight program for Windows that helps users manage and secure their two-factor authentication codes.
Storage
The vault stores 2FA codes with end-to-end encryption, ensuring that even the service provider cannot access combinations. All sensitive data comes with protection from the computer before syncing to the cloud. Such caution provides full privacy and removes reliance on unencrypted local backups.
Furthermore, the app enables syncing of OTPs across multiple devices, including Android. When a new code or account is added, it appears across all linked phones and desktops without manual export or import. Synchronization is fast, seamless and secure.
Integration
There are tools to import existing 2FA secrets from other similar services like Google Authenticator, Aegis and FreeOTP. You can also export your codes in encrypted formats for secure migration or backup.
And last but not least, being open-source, the software’s code is publicly available for transparency and auditing. Users and developers can verify its security architecture and implementation. No ads, no trackers and no telemetry are included.
