Essence Game Engine is a Windows 3D engine for developing games and visualizations. There are instruments for creating detailed destructible environments. The engine was used in multiple acclaimed titles like Warhammer 40000 Dawn of War II, Company of Heroes 2 and Age of Empires IV. It is best suited for the real time strategy genre.
Development process
Using this software you can create immersive and cinematic RTS games that simulate realistic warfare and combat scenarios. It is possible to generate large scale maps with detailed terrain features, buildings and army units. There is support for a variety of gameplay modes such as single campaigns, multiplayer matches and cooperative missions.
The engine utilizes a proprietary scripting language called Scarlet to define main logic connections, events and AI behavior. Additionally, users are able to design and modify custom scenarios in World Builder.

Visual effects
You can render high dynamic range lighting patterns to mimic sun glare, shadows and reflections. The intensity and color are adjustable according to the time of day and weather conditions.
Like in Godot Engine, advanced shader effects are included. Users are able to create realistic materials and textures as well.
