Flamingo nXt is a Windows program for integrating an extension into the Rhinoceros graphics editing application. It is intended for applying textures to 3D objects and rendering them. There is support for the ray tracing technology to simulate real life interactions between light and objects.
Rendering process
After installing the plugin you can activate it in the main application. The next step is to open the 3D model and select textures for it. There is an extensive material collection that includes multiple categories such as concrete, glass, porcelain, stone, wood, fabric, etc.
All textures are fully customizable. Users are able to adjust the parameters of the reflective finish and highlight settings.
Please note that Flamingo nXt is a paid software. There is no free trial version.
Advanced preferences
Several premade lighting presets like studio, exterior, interior and artificial are available. Moreover, you can create a custom profile with adjustable light intensity, rotation and saturation.
There are flexible environment settings. Users are able to change the default object elevation and replace the background image before processing the scene.
