Free BitLocker Manager is an application for Windows designed to assist users with the encryption system of the same name. It is possible to simplify the complex process of protecting information and data stored in hard drives.
Monitoring and management
There is a small main window which shows the current status of encryption. Users can view the drive’s name, protection type and password details. Compared to Portable HWMonitor information is not displayed in real-time, it is necessary to click on a Refresh button to see possible recent changes.
In addition to monitoring, there is an option to lock and unlock the access to drives. You are able to easily switch between these modes and manage the encryption the way you like. Moreover, it is possible to change the password in case the current one is no longer reliable.
Settings
Being an open source software and not depending on the network connection, you can be sure your personal data is not shared with third party services. It is possible to automatically run the manager from the start and change the theme color of the interface.
As to advanced settings, there is an option of locking all drives when the OS goes to hibernate or sleep mode. Moreover, the application may show up when the system is going to be resumed from these processes.
