Project M is a Windows utility for installing a Super Smash Bros. Brawl mod on Nintendo Wii. It offers users gameplay changes and adds a wide variety of melee mechanics.
How to setup
There are two versions of the modification: for Homebrew consoles and for unmodified devices. After selecting the correct edition you are instructed to copy all files to the memory card and insert it into Wii. The next step is to run the software update to integrate the modification.
Programs like Dolphin are helpful for running Wii games on a desktop computer.
New content
The primary changes from the original title is the increased gameplay speed and shortened character landing lag. This mod provides custom melee features and moves that are present in other Super Smash Bros. games.
New characters like Dr. Mario, Waluigi, Geno and Pichu are available. Moreover, there are balance tweaks for the existing mechanics.
Players can fight in unique environments and use customized items. A collection of new background music and character costumes is provided as well.
