GlassWire is a Windows software that contains a firewall for protecting your internet connection. There are instruments for blocking specific applications from accessing the web. Additionally, a list of all devices connected to the local network is available.
Firewall settings
The Security tab lets users view all active apps. It is possible to sort the list by name, the current connection speed, host IP address and other attributes.
You can block suspicious programs from accessing the internet by clicking the corresponding button. There is an option to create multiple firewall profiles with custom rules and quickly switch between them.
Please note that the trial version of GlassWire has limited capabilities. Users are able to download free solutions with similar functionality such as Smoothwall.
Statistics
It is possible to monitor the amount of data sent and received by individual utilities. You can analyze network usage information to identify and block problematic connections.
The Graph tab contains real time information about network traffic. Users are able to adjust the time scale.
