iCloud is a Windows cloud storage service for iPhone, iPad and Mac users. It contains instruments for synchronizing all changes made to iCloud data on the desktop between multiple mobile devices connected to the same account. Please note that the free version of the platform provides only 5Gb of storage space.
File upload
After installing the program you are prompted to log into the personal Apple account. It is possible to select specific data categories like photos, contacts, calendars, browser bookmarks and passwords for automatic synchronization. The overall amount of available cloud storage space is displayed at the bottom of the main window.
It is worth mentioning that all information uploaded to the remote server is automatically protected from unauthorized access. There is support for several modern encryption algorithms.
Other official desktop utilities for iPhones and iPads like Apple Music are available for download.
Preferences
Users can choose the default locations for synchronized files. Additionally, options to specify custom directories for photos and shared albums are provided. There is a checkbox for sending internal analytics and diagnostic information to Apple for troubleshooting purposes.
