iPi Mocap Studio is a Windows motion capture program. It can be integrated into animation, gaming and virtual reality applications. Please note that the free trial version of iPi Mocap Studio will stop working 30 days after installation.
Capture process
After starting the utility users can connect all recording devices to the computer. There is support for Kinect sensors, PS Eye cameras and various types of webcams. It is possible to edit motion data by adding or removing keyframes from the timeline.
You are able to view the scene from different angles. The control panel provides access to all hardware settings.
One of the key features of iPi Mocap Studio is the ability to capture motion information from multiple devices simultaneously. This way users can create more realistic and smooth animations. There is support for advanced tracking algorithms that can accurately translate even complex motions like running, jumping and dancing.
Export
The application contains tools for saving the project in several common formats, including BVH, FBX, Collada and HTR. Resulting files are compatible with Maya, 3ds Max and other animation software.
It is worth mentioning that iPi Mocap Studio does not allow you to convert video files to motion capture packages. This task can be performed by other programs like CrazyTalk Cam Suite PRO.
