KDE Connect is a Windows utility that is intended for establishing a wireless connection between multiple computers and mobile devices. It is possible to transfer files back and forth over the local Ethernet or WiFi network.
Connection
After installing the program on all devices you can view the list of compatible devices in the main window. It is necessary to allow pairing on both ends to establish a secure link. There is support for the Windows, Linux and Android operating systems.
Main options
Users are able to operate multimedia playback on the remote device. Similar to Remote Desktop, there are instruments for sending mouse and keyboard input to another computer.
The Run Command option allows you to perform a wide variety of tasks on the remote machine. Tools for tuning the system volume are provided as well.
One of the most interesting features of KDE Connect is the ability to move data between multiple devices on the same network. This is helpful for quickly copying large files from one computer to another.
There is an option to send a ping to the remote device. Additionally, users can unpair the computer to disable the remote connection.
