Lazesoft Recover My Password is a Windows tool that allows users to quickly restore access to a locked computer without entering the password. Similar to Elcomsoft System Recovery, it does not modify any personal data on the hard drive in the process.
How it works
After starting the software you are prompted to create a bootable storage device that contains the password recovery program. A blank optical disc or USB Flash drive can be used for this purpose.
The next step is to restart the computer and boot from a newly created media. All Windows partitions will be detected automatically. Finally, users can select the locked account and reset the password.
Advantages
There is support for administrator, domain, guest and other types of accounts. Lazesoft Recover My Password is able to remove passwords protected by SAM files, SYSKEY encryption and DPP policy.
Drawbacks
Recovering complex keyphrases may take up a long time depending on the processor speed. Moreover, this application can not restore access to accounts secured with two factor authentication.
