LEXiTRON Dictionary is a translation program for Windows created by the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center. Its main goal is to help native speakers as well as foreign citizens who are interested in learning the Thai language.
Extensive dictionary
Generally speaking, the utility serves as a bilingual dictionary, and comes in two versions. One with enabled audio playback, and the other with this feature missing. Needless to say, the first is useful for studying pronunciation as you can listen to words being spoken out loud.
The database consists of expressions that are common or frequent in both Thai and English language. This includes popular phrases like hello, how are you, thank you, welcome, and goodbye. If you would like to translate Urdu greetings and other utterances, you may try a tool called Wordinn English to Urdu Dictionary.
Corpus database
Another standout aspect of this software is its corpus-based dictionary. This advanced feature assists you in looking up words as they are used in real sentences recorded in documents, books, news articles, etc. Thus, you have the possibility to find translations for context specific terms.
Please note that at the moment of writing this review the program is not supported by the developers. However, its functionality is available through the official website. We have provided the link to the page in the downloads section.
