Log Parser Lizard is a developer-oriented program that provides a convenient interface to run SQL queries on logs and Windows event files.
GUI
The tool wraps the underlying engine in a modern interface with tabs, ribbons and query management. Users create requests in a syntax-highlighted editor with auto-completion, code snippets and support for constants. Activities are organized in a tree view or grouped by categories, enabling reuse of common analyses.
It is possible to work with many input formats including IIS, Apache, application logs, CSV or TSV projects, XML files and even registry data. The SQL dialect supports SELECT, WHERE, GROUP BY, JOINs and regular expressions for advanced filtering. You can combine multiple components in your requests in a single statement.
Visualization
Results are displayed in interactive tables that support sorting, grouping, conditional formatting, formula fields, search and split views. Charts such as bar, pie, line, or treemap can be generated from query output directly inside the tool. You may design dashboards or reports, it is possible to export the information to Excel, PDF, HTML and so on.
