MainConcept AVCHD Transcoder is a Windows utility for converting AVC video clips to a wide range of popular formats like H.264, MPEG2, MPEG4 and WMV. It is possible to insert text subtitles or additional audio tracks into the resulting files.
Conversion instructions
After starting the program you can import videos by dragging and dropping them into the main window. The next step is to select the output file format and quality preset from the drop down menus in the Multiplexer tab.
Users are able to add or remove audio tracks from the clip. Moreover, there is an option to include text subtitles in different languages into the project.
Instruments for trimming the video and deleting individual fragments are provided. You can apply various effects and filters to improve the output quality.
Please note that MainConcept AVCHD Transcoder is discontinued and no longer supported by the developer. The installation files are not available. There are other apps with similar capabilities such as Miro Video Converter.
Performance
This application takes advantage of modern CPUs by fully utilizing all cores during the encoding. Support for NVIDIA CUDA technology allows users to further increase the conversion speed.
