MediaFire is a Windows online platform for storing images, video clips, executables, audio tracks, compressed archives and other types of files. Users can organize uploaded items by sorting them into custom folders.
Uploading
After registering an account you are able to copy files to the cloud by dragging and dropping them into the workspace. There are instruments for managing uploaded content and filter the items by type. Moreover, a powerful search module for quickly locating required files in a large library is provided.
It is possible to generate a link for sharing the file or directory with another person. Please note that free MediaFire accounts have storage size limitations.
Security and privacy
Unlike in Dropbox, personal files are not encrypted in any way and can be downloaded by anyone with the link. Premium users are able to set a password for accessing sensitive data.
It is important to mention that items uploaded without creating an account will be automatically deleted after 14 days. You can choose one of the available subscription plans to remove all restrictions. There are no filesize or speed limitations for premium members.
