Micrografx Windows Draw is a Windows graphics editor. There is a large collection of premade templates for designing brochures, greeting cards, calendars, diagrams and web pages. Additionally, it is possible to insert lines, geometrical shapes and text blocks into the image. Users can apply various visual filters and effects.
How it works
After starting the utility you are prompted to begin a new project. It is possible to use one of the provided wizard tools for quick generation of unique postcards, newsletters, banners, flyers and other printing projects. You can switch between the thumbnail and table view to quickly find the correct template.
Instruments for inserting bitmap and vector images into the workspace are available. There is a library of clipart pictures. Users can add text inscriptions with flexible font parameters.
Please note that Micrografx Windows Draw is discontinued and no longer supported by the developer. It is not compatible with 64-bit Windows editions. There are more modern solutions like CorelDRAW with similar functionality.
Image correction
You are able to apply artistic effects like charcoal, oil painting, pop art and watercolor. White balance adjustment tools are provided as well. It is easy to tune the brightness, contrast and gamma. There are filters for adding the noise and blurring the picture.
Output
This software offers users several export options. The project can be saved as a bitmap or vector image as well as converted to the PDF format. Moreover, a button for quickly sending the results to the printer is included.
