MotionDV STUDIO is a Windows application that allows you to edit videos downloaded from Panasonic digital cameras. It is possible to save the project as an AVI, MPEG or ASF file. The output resolution and aspect ratio are customizable.
Import
Users are instructed to connect the camcorder to the computer for downloading content to the hard drive. Additionally, there is an option to add still images and audio tracks to the project. It is easy to create and insert multiple title screens.
Editing process
You can trim the clips, crop the output image and apply various visual filters like mosaic, sepia or mirror. Moreover, it is possible to insert fade in and fade out effects for seamless transitions between the frames. The audio volume is adjustable as well. It is recommended to download Adobe Premiere or another similar utility for more complex editing operations.
Title screens
There is a tool for designing custom pictures that can be used as title screens. Users are able to add animations, frames and text blocks to the image. Flexible font attributes such as the size, style and color of the letters are provided.
The resulting movie can be exported to a standard AVI file. There is a checkbox for splitting the output video into several clips. This functionality is helpful for sending files via email.
