Water profile customization
You can tune the amount of specific chemical elements and acids in the source water. A table of common profiles that are best suited for producing various beer types is available. The target carbon concentration is adjustable as well.
Calculations
The software estimates the resulting Ph level of the mash based on input data. There are detailed spreadsheets with exact values for the pure brew as well as for mixes with salts and acids.
Users are able to evaluate the quality of the beer on the Malt Data page. Information about the target color for a wide variety of brew types like Generic Munich, Briess Caramel and Rahr Pale Ale is provided.
There is an option to customize the mash composition by changing the proportions of the ingredients. This functionality is helpful for inventing new variations of classic beer types. Additionally, you can calculate reactions between individual acids and salts to predict the flavor profile.
