mplayer2 is a lightweight Windows program for playing videos and audios in various formats. Compared to other similar apps like KMPlayer, this one only operates through a command-line interface.
How it works
The program is run via command line. If you have a PC with Windows 11, you need to launch Command Prompt and navigate to the directory containing mplayer2. Afterwards, you can enter the file’s name you want to play and proceed further. It is worth noting that for novice users this program might be difficult to handle as it has not been updated for a long time and does not support new formats of videos and audios.
Customization
There are standard playback controls that allow you to pause and resume watching anytime. You can rewind clips, add files to playlists and adjust the volume. Moreover, the application allows you to increase or decrease the brightness and stretch videos to full screen. To sum up, you are able to apply various configuration options according to your needs.
