Network Client is a Windows software that was designed to enable remote connections in legacy operating systems from Microsoft. The integrated client module allows users to access shared directories on a local network. Please note that Network Client is discontinued and no longer supported by the developer. A modern version of it is included by default in all versions of Windows.
Configuration
After starting the program you can input various details like the workgroup, computer name, IP address and account credentials to connect to a remote server. Additionally, it is possible to select the network card model from the list of supported hardware.
There are flexible connection parameters such as the DNS server, communication protocol type, device MAC address and other advanced settings. Users are able to execute the ping command to trace packet routes and identify potential traffic bottlenecks.
