NSC BUILDER is a program for Windows that allows you to work with custom NSP and XCI files. With the help of this utility, you are able to create your own video games, applications and additional content for Nintendo Switch. Additionally, there is a possibility to edit image files.
Create game files
You can work with a single ROM package or upload multiple items at once for processing in batch mode. The tool gives you the option to change the icon, description, title, embedded picture, and more. When creating a game file, you may choose a target extension, namely NCA, NRO, NSO, and some others. There is extensive support for disk image formats, including ISO, WBFS, and WDF.
Partition and conversion
It is important to point out that if the ROM size is larger than four gigabytes, it will not work on Nintendo Switch. The software enables you to split the package into several parts, so that each of them does not exceed the maximum size. This makes it possible to install heavy games on the console without using the official eShop.
The program comes equipped with a built-in converter that supports XCI, NSP and XCZ formats. Once you are done working with an image file, you can load the game into the physical console. Alternatively, you may try an advanced emulation solution, such as Yuzu.
