OMICRON Test Universe is a Windows utility that allows you to create and execute custom test plans for CMC calibration equipment. Similar to Automation Studio, it is possible to visualize relay characteristics on the screen to monitor the operation. Please note that OMICRON Test Universe is obsolete and no longer supported by the developer. The installation files are not available.
About CMC devices
This application is intended for working with numerical protection relays and calibration equipment. There are multiple models manufactured by the Omicron company. For example, CMC 430 is capable of calibrating voltage parameters with a high degree of accuracy while maintaining the small size and portability.
Testing process
Users can create custom modules for evaluating CMC devices. A library of predefined relay-specific test templates and functions is available. It is possible to switch the mode of operation and track the overall progress in the main window.
Integrated test modules include:
- quick ramping;
- state sequencer;
- overcurrent distance;
- annunciation checker;
- and many other options.
There are instruments for analyzing detailed logs to identify potential issues and errors. You are able to save the evaluation results as a plain text file.
