Open ModelSphere is a Windows utility for creating and editing models of business processes. It is possible to generate UML diagrams and charts as well. Please note that Open ModelSphere is discontinued and no longer supported by the developer. The
installation files are not available.
Business processes
You can build new models from scratch or via reverse engineering of existing processes. Instruments for conceptual and logical information processing as well as for database modeling are included. Moreover, there is support for several common notations. It is possible to transfer data between UML and relational schemas as well.
Similar to Bizagi Modeler, users are able to create graphs, charts and diagrams to visualize business processes. This is helpful for analyzing the project to identify performance bottlenecks and other potential issues.
Advanced functions
There are tools for forward engineering. They allow you to generate SQL scripts or DDL statements from existing models. Additionally, an option to use any database as a foundation for the project is provided.
This program lets users collaborate with colleagues and work on the same business process model simultaneously. Finished projects can be exported to the hard drive in several common formats for sharing with other people.
