Orbital is a program for Windows with which you can launch console games on your personal computer. Basically, it emulates the environment of the PlayStation 4, so it is possible to play popular titles without having a physical device.
Run games
In order to use the emulator functions, you need to have original image files. The next step is to load the game, and configure the graphics, audio and control parameters. There is an option to connect gamepads as well as other input devices.
What is more, the application enables you to keep your progress by saving game states. This means you can continue playing from the same place later on.
System requirements
Similar to Nsemu, the emulator requires a considerable amount of system resources to function properly. The computer has to be equipped with a central processor capable of working with AVX and BMI1 extensions. It is recommended to have at least twelve gigabytes of RAM, and a GPU with Vulkan support.
Development notes
At the time of writing, the software distribution is not available to the general public. The emulation environment is experimental and currently in development. However, you can explore the source code and manually build the utility. In addition, you may contact the author and report found bugs.
